Many songs remain favorites for years, and these we have kept in the collection- others have fallen somewhere along the way. In recognition of the present trend toward folk songs and ballads, many of these have been added, with an effort to include those best adapted to group singing. Also included are College Songs, Drinking Songs, Military Songs, Sea Songs, Old Favorites, Parodies, Cowboy Songs, Chanties, Fiddle Tunes, Rounds, Spirituals, etc. The I.O.C.A. was founded in 1932 to bring together students with a mutual interest in the out-of-doors. The Index contains a complete List of Songs and First Lines. Contains the words and the melody lines with guitar chords for most songs, but no accompaniment. Some illustrations. | |||
